Daniel Jones at 6

New York Giants Draft The Giants had the 6th overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft, with rumors coming out about a week or two before the draft that they are in love with Duke Quarterback Daniel Jones, who finished the previous season with 2,674 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and 9 Interceptions, which dosent read as a great statline to be the 6th overall pick. Jones is a smart quarterback, with decent arm strength, but is all potential. Scouts are in love with his athletic ability, his frame, and how he plays the game smart, hearing this has a tendency to make me mad as Jones only threw 22 touchdowns and 9 interceptions which is not a ratio that should be held to the highest standard and he isnt athletic when he runs and has a lanky frame. The Giants had the choice at quarterback out of Ohio State, Dwayne Haskins who finished this previous season with 4,831 yards, 50 Touchdowns and 8 interceptions, â€Å"You dont throw 50 touchdowns by accident.† Broadcaster and sports analysist f or goodmorning football Nate Burleson said. Haskins ended up going to the Washington Redskins at pick 15 in the first round as Haskins would have been my first pick. After Speaking with students around the school many people have the same opinon. â€Å"Very Suprised, didn’t think he would be a top 5 quarterback in the draft† Said Senior Brandon Lacke(‘19). â€Å"I feel sorry for Giants fans because they just made the biggest mistake in their team’s history† said senior Joshua Berg(‘19). With Haskins Available on the Board they had other options that couldve better benefited their team and their needs.
